Description
4 Gas Analyzer Model AVG500
ARAI APPROVED 4 Gas Analyzer Model AVG500 is a device that measures the levels of four gases in the exhaust emissions of petrol, CNG, LPG DRIVEN VEHICLES. THIS GASES ARE TESTED TO MEASURE THE POLLUTION IN HE VEHICLE AND TO DETERMINE WHEATHER OR NOT THE VEHICLE IS ELIGIBLE FOR PUC CERTIFICATE BY RTO AS PER ARAI RULE IN INDIA
The four gases are:
- **Carbon monoxide (CO)**: A harmful gas that results from incomplete burning of fuel. It can cause headaches, dizziness, and even death in high concentrations. The permissible limit of CO for petrol vehicles is 0.5% for two-wheelers and 3% for four-wheelers as per CMVR 115(2).
- **Carbon dioxide (CO2)**: A greenhouse gas that contributes to global warming and climate change. It is the main product of complete combustion of fuel. The higher the CO2 level, the better the fuel efficiency and the lower the environmental impact.
- **Hydrocarbons (HC)**: A group of compounds that contain hydrogen and carbon atoms. They are the unburnt or partially burnt fuel that escapes from the engine. They can cause smog, ozone depletion, and respiratory problems. The permissible limit of HC for petrol vehicles is 3000 ppm for two-wheelers and 750 ppm for four-wheelers as per CMVR 115(2).
- **Oxygen (O2)**: A vital gas that is needed for combustion. It is used to calculate the air-fuel ratio and the lambda value, which indicate how well the fuel is burnt. The lower the O2 level, the richer the mixture, and vice versa.
The 4 Gas Analyzer Model AVG500 can help diagnose engine problems, optimize fuel efficiency, reduce emissions, and comply with environmental regulations. It can also be used for online PUC testing as per the VAHAN4 portal of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. Some features and benefits of the 4 Gas Analyzer Model AVG500 are:
- **ARAI approved**: The device is certified by the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) as per the test procedure specified in MoRTH/CMVR/TAP-115/116, Issue No.4, Part-VIII for 4-gas analyzer. It meets the requirements of Rule 116(3) of the Central Motor Vehicles Rules 1989, as amended up-to-date, for the 4-Gas Analyzer.
- **Portable and battery-powered**: The device is compact, lightweight, and easy to carry.
- **LED display and single button zero calibration**: The device has a clear and bright LED display that shows the gas concentrations in real-time. It also has a single button zero calibration function that makes it easy to set up and use.
- **Fuel selection and real-time lambda/air fuel ratio display: The device can measure and display HC as Hexane for gasoline, Propane for LPG, or Methane for CNG. It can also show the real-time lambda/air fuel ratio using HC, CO, CO2, and O2 gas measurements.
- **PC interface and optional serial printer**: The device can be connected to a PC via RS 232 port and supporting software. It can also support a serial printer for hardcopy gas data.
- **Automatic back flushing and operator accessible filters**: The device has an automatic back flushing feature that empties the water trap/separator. It also has filters that can be easily accessed and maintained by the operator.
